University of Montana Climate Response Club
The UM Climate Response Club is a community of active students at the University of Montana dedicated to pursuing a more sustainable future for UM, Montana, and the world. In the last year, we have hosted multiple rallies, organized direct action events during the legislative session, hosted skill workshops, and collaborated with multiple state and local political candidates who prioritize climate action. Our projects for the 2026-27 school year will focus on connecting our student body to local political and climate advocacy organizations; encouraging UM to divest endowment money from the fossil fuel industry; and working to promote environmentally beneficial policy during Montana's biennial legislative session.

Students taking action for nature and dignity (STAND)
STAND is a high-school led student group focused on environmental activism of all forms from animal exploitation to environmental injustice and climate change. Based in the Washington D.C. area, STAND has affiliated groups across the country engaged in advocacy efforts and legislative lobbying on national, state, and local levels. One of their current goals is focused on passing a cage-free egg production bill in Virginia. Going forward, STAND aims to continue to broaden their network of students and affiliated groups and position itself as a resource hub and partner for advocacy groups to help planning and organizing efforts, especially for those new to the advocacy space.
