ams webinar collaboration: Blogospheric Science 101: Building Your Voice in the Atmospheric Arena
The aim of this webinar is to help participants learn how experienced blog writers in diverse atmospheric science backgrounds develop compelling posts, from the idea stage to the final polish. Panelists will share insights into what makes a blog post engaging, the key things to keep in mind while writing, and their general perspective on science communication through blogging.

guest speaker event: climate action spotlight
In collaboration with the Student Environmental Justice Alliance (SEJA), the GMU chapter of TCC hosted a guest speaker from the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN), the largest and oldest grassroots organization dedicated exclusively to fighting for bold and just solutions to climate change in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Discussed how TCC has engaged with communities across Vermont to talk about climate change science to anyone who is willing to listen. Examples were provided of different events that TCC has done in the past, like upcycled planters and climate jeopardy, to public forums and group conversations.

Spoke to local community members about local and global climate change impacts, played “Climate Jeopardy”, and gave out stickers, tote bags, and flyers. Members also attended a variety of talks from local elected officials and climate policy makers on the impact of climate change on water resources, from the oceans and Chesapeake Bay to the Potomac River and local streams.
