The Climate Consensus

We are a Vermont-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit Promoting Dialogue about Climate Change

We understand that climate change is real. We understand that it is human-caused. We believe that something must be done about itand nearly all of the world's climate scientists agree.

Our Vision and Mission

Our vision is to close the consensus gap between experts and the broader community on the urgency and impacts of human-caused climate change by promoting constructive dialogue and action across all aspects of society.

Our mission is to foster a welcoming and inclusive community that encourages, inspires, and empowers scientists to engage in climate outreach and communication. Through collaboration efforts, we are developing knowledge, shared resources, and a culture of support that encourages dialog between scientists who are knowledgeable about climate change and people who have an interest in learning more about it.

What is Climate Change?

Climate Change isn't a simple concept. Some (like us) consider it to be one of the most important challenges of our lifetime. To improve our chances of lessening the negative impacts, we want to help more people to understand the basics of climate change science.

Get Involved

There's a consensus among climate scientists: Climate change is real, it's happening because of us, and the time to act is now. We cannot do this in isolation.

Let’s work together.
